I found this article in yesterdays Yorkshire Post Property Post:
A LUXURY HOTEL STAY
The latest property to enter the rentals market for Ascot 2005 in York is a 21 bedroom hotel which is offering to let to one party for £120,000 for the week. The Mallyan Spout, in Goathland, near Whitby, is available for executive use throughout the meeting next June. The ivy-clad country house hotel sits opposite the church at the quiet end of the fictional village of Aidensfield, which features in the TV series Heartbeat. Members of the cast stay there when filming. Mallyan Spouts co-owner, Michael Bell, says: "I think this offer will appeal to corporate clients, and although we are a 45 minute drive from York, we have the space to land helicopters, and by helicopter it's only 10 minutes to York racecource". The £120,000, which equates to about £5,714 per room, for a seven-night stay, includes full English breakfast. Dinner in the Valley Restaurant would be extra. The hotel also has two meeting/conference rooms.
I couldn't believe how expensive it is. I bet the Heartbeat cast and crew don't pay that when they stay there!!
