I'll go and sit with your mum and watch the paint dry.
Nothing ever happens in cricket. They point a camera at the pitch or whatever it's called and nothing happens.
Sometimes it rains but aside from that nothing ever happens. Sometimes they interview somebody but aside from that and the rain NOTHING EVER HAPPENS.

football, well this is a subject close to my heart. What haven't you got in football? It briiliant, blood, sweat, tears an all. Youve got so many different cups, uv got the league to contend with, going up or trying to avoid relegation. Derby days where uv gotta beat the next door town. Chants, no-ones given a song sheet but everyone knows the words to every song. laughing at the other teams fans when they get thrown out (sorry just thought i'd add that cos it happened today.) You can have money crisis', players signing contracts with you, your best players going to better clubs and the manager abandoning ya. As the saying goes youv'e got the "smell of the grease paint and the roar of the crowd". (although at our club its more the other way around. "the roar of the grease paint and the smell of the crowd!") I no you might say you have all that at cricket but i just don't think its on the same level some how. ;D Anyway im sure the royal rocks can add a lttle more light on the game.

Football is my fave sport, your team can have highs and lows and the game can change inside fifteen minutes as I found out sitting in the Gallowgate End on Thursday night. I also adore both rugby codes, American football, wrestling, cricket and 9-ball pool but hate golf (zzzzzzz...) and tennis (ruined as a sport by the big servers).
I have noticed from watching SKY there is a massive Old Trafford-size stadium in Dublin for Gaelic football and hurling. Why are the Ireland rugby and football teams not playing there too? Lansdowne Road looks pretty shabby now to be honest.

The big stadium is called croke park. It is owned by the GAA and they wont let the other sports play there 'cos they are English. It all dates back to the first bloody sunday (not the one in the north).
A group of Black and Tans (English police sent over to stop the war of independance) went into croke park in the middle of a GAA final and shot 13 people dead as well as injuring many others. Beacuse of this they keep english sports out, despite getting millions in state money to build the place. Thats the reason, hope I didn't offend anyone.
They are trying to build a new stadium but the PD's (goverment party in coalition with finna fail) rightly say we should fix our hospitals ect before we bulid a stadium.

tell me about it, everything in this country is history, things are never done one way 'cos its the right way to do things, its always 'cos of something that happened (either religion or the english). i tell you if I want to writea book I probably know enough useless info bout Ireland.

ok you guys r all off my my be nice 2 list. I don't get football, I don't get the rules and well watching a load of men run up and down a pitch 4 nothing really is not my idea of fun. Stuff is always happening in cricket, it annoys me in the summer because it shares with the horse racing and u only ever get 2 watch part of a test enless u have sky and never the one day ones. I don't like it when they are interviewing ppl either, I mean the whole point is 2 watch the match not 2 hear some ex-players opinion on it.
We don't have that in cricket, you are meant 2 be quiet and not move because it destroys the players concentration (I play, believe me if somebody says something just as your boaling or about 2 bat then u give away runs) We don't have songs or nothing or at least I don't think we do but when we win they sing something like rule britannia or something like that, there is a song I just can't remember it.
As for tackling, it's a non contact sport, your not meant 2 touch another player really except when u get a wicket in which case the team that got it runs in and congratulates u. It's the best game in the world. and one I can actually play, if you want me 2 explain the rules I don't mind, it's one of my fave subjects Spy_Master100880
