Just idly curious...
And obviously there were lots of different people and lots that happened in all the seasons - I just put the brackets in to jog people's memories a bit.

I have watched it from the very start and have cried and laughed through the highs and lows.
and millie totally agree with you about Jackie darlin'
and alexb - oh when kate died i cried and cried - it was the first time i saw someone die on tv. having watched it since i still cried. I have to say it was beautifully acted by everyone involved and the scenes afterwards when everyone found out were so moving.
sorry, long answer to a simple question. I've watched it from the start.

From the start until these gooses on Channell 7 in New South wales,Australia took it off the air. The ABC should never have sold the rights!

We don't have television, but I started watching (and got quickly hooked) while catsitting for a neighbour. Instead of just popping in-and-out to put down the food and change the litterbox, I would stay for a couple of hours in the evenings and give them each some brushing and cuddle time. I'd go round and round the Tv dial with the remote and Heartbeat was one of the few programs that seemed worth watching.
Then of course Dennis arrived and I became a Serious Fan. Still have to go to a neighbour's to watch it though, and if she isn't going to be in, I go across town to another friend's furniture store and watch it on one of the store televisions.
Cheers, Cynthia

I started watching the show when Jackie and Mike were starting to have troubles. When they introduced Duncan Bell as Sgt. Merton, I was forever hooked. We see Heartbeat on Friday nights(Canada), but on Sundays they show a lot of the older episodes(from the beginning with Nick and Kate). I can hardly wait for the new episodes(series 14) to start. We are a little behind in Canada.

I watched it at the first show but didn`t like it then I found out that Derek Fowlds was on it and that sold me. It hurt to see Kate ill after being so strong at the beginning when she stood her ground with Doctor Ferranby .The horrible laboured breathing with Nick by her side and then...silence,Nick getting up and staring out the window, the baby crying....That brought the tears. Funny though I don`t remember who was at the gas station before Bernie He just blended in wwith Claude as soon as he came on the scene though with David ,claude kept telling him to remind him that he owed someone a favour and that is why poor bewildered David was there helping him .The combination worked nicely.

From episode 1. Got hooked straight away, it had an "All creatures great and Small " feel to it, and the lovely scenery. Of course, when Dennis arrived I concentrated more. ;D ;D
