it was a good episode, although i expected to see more of the rosie/phil story, after all the stuff in the papers about it...i reckon that's gonna carry on for the next few weeks..

Not bad ep.
Good to see Bernie getting a storyline, even if it was only a little one. Have to say, i laughed for ages when he fell into that grave. Lol.
Rosie looked really nice after Gina had done all the make-up. I mean, she looks nice normally, but she looked great after. I'd love to be able to do my hair like that.
Nice to see Oscar and Rob getting along after their initial troubles. I think the idea of the old school Sgt helping out the new rebellios officer is an interesting combination. Alf and Oscar always get things done.
Still not liking the new Sgt, btw. And i don't think he likes Helen, which will, of course, turn into love. But, as we all know, she likes Rob. Love triangle, anyone?
Erm, not much else to say really. Police storyline was, as usual, secondary in my mind to the lives of the regulars, but was okay.

Oh I hope not, I'm not sure how many more love triangles or trycicles  my brain can cope with  I hate the new sergeant, I don't even like the conflict, which is unusual for me, I want Dennis to come back! ;D Although I did think it was cool of him to abseill down that cliff, that's crazy and Rob did it but I didn't expect him to. Poor Bernie  Don't like the new doctor, seems fake to me, has one of those quiet patient voices that infuriate me Good case too, only the way the TV Times review read, thought it was going to be different. |

Good episode. I think by the end, the new Sgt might have been mellowing, just a little bit towards Rob. I thought the cliff abseiling scene was great, I presume it was Whitby , ( Their beat does seem to cover a huge area ) ! I noticed that the Sgt called Alf by his first name, Dennis didn't seem to manage that until the last couple of episodes he was in it. !! I don't really understand Gina, she has made it pretty obvious she doesn't love Phil. ( She's dumped him twice, after all, there is only so much rejection a bloke can take.) So why is she acting all jealous over him and Rosie. I am enjoying this new Sgt, even though it's not the same without Dennis. ( No mention of him and Jenny again. )  |

I saw this being filmed. The bit outside the pub was filmed at around 11.45am on fri 3rd sep 04! STINKIN HOT!  You lucky lucky thing!  I enjoyed this one a lot more than last weeks, the new Sarge seems to be fitting in better this week. Going to have to get used to him I guess. I do like John Duttine so it should be too hard  Liked the way he eventually came round to letting Rob have a go at stopping the crime. The absailing was great, I bet the sea was cold though! It looked like the cliffs near Whitby. I think Sgt Miller will have to get used to Oscar interfering! There was a brill line, when Phil said "We usually deal with bodies ourselves" and Miller said something like "As well as everything else it seems" At least it seemed a bit more normal in the station. PC Younger is still a bit of a mystery, he's just like "there" at least they gave him something to do this week, have you read his info on the ITV Heartbeat site? There's lots of stuff about him which isn't on the eps. yet. If there's going to be a new PC he should be introduced a bit more, like Tom was, we got to know all about him quickly and he was a great character, don't like characters we know nothing about. I tend to agree with Miller on Helen Trent "Don't think I like her attitude" (So me and Miller might be starting to get along? ) Rosie's hair looked fantastic when Gina helped her, wish I could do that with mine too! I just knew it was going to be Phil after that smile between them last week (I haven't seen anything about it in the papers either, but them I've had flu all week and not bought a paper most days) Looks like it might be a good twist to the Gina/Phil story. Bernie was sooo funny, when he fell in the grave and David was looking round for him that was hilarious. Think that's about it, enjoyed it a lot more than last week but I think that was just a reaction to missing Dennis (Which I still do ) Hope they give him a mention. Oh well, at least I've got my video tapes. Next week's looks like it will be very funny ;D |

Spymaster, i have to disagree. Gina has broken Phil's heart too many times! if he goes back to her again i shall be . he and Rosie are sweet, but i think there is a better mrs. right for him. love Bernie having a story, he's my favourite character! David was so funny "it's lots and lots of those days" lol love it! also David and Rosie do look kinda good together......... Rob's got a nurse! love it. i knew he was a nurse man... Oscar back on the beat again, does he never learn? sweet though. PC Yates didn't come back, ohh. |

I noticed that the ITV Heartbeat page made no mention of this episode before it was broadcast and it still doesn't appear in the episode list even though next week's episode is featured. Any particular reason for this?
