Well what did everyone think? ? I wasn't so sure about all the change at once, new sargent, new uniform badges, new car By the first break I was thinking that Phil looked like he was going to scream "I want Dennis Merton back!" and so was I! I hope Miller isn't going to be as much like Craddock as he gave the impression he might be. It was quite funny at the end but I hope he isn't going to be put down all the time. It's better when there's a Sargeant whose in charge and working with the rest of them. The bit with the new car was quite good, when the driver wouldn't take it up the track, is that the copper that Mz had her photo taken with? Loved the bit where Miller was telling Phil about the new car and said one of them would be trained to drive it and Younger was trying to step in. Poor Rob falling off his bike, the bit with the nurse was cute, and he took his shirt off! haven't seen that much skin on HB for ages, getting adventurous David was great with the old dear, and the last bit was good with the chief constable. "Did he say Shiney new car?" ;D Well I guess we'll get used to all the changes and it will settle down again. I wonder how Shiner and Miller will get on?

I just couldn't stop thinking about the line TV Times ran. "Did nobody warn the new sergeant about the irate publican that used to be the old sergeant?" or something similar. I thought that it was really funny when he walked in at the end and then walked out again when Oscar offered him a drink, furs going to fly. He'll settle down eventually, I don't really remember it that well with Craddock in it so I'm not sure about that comparison I thought he turned out to be a decent bloke? When Rob went off the bike my mum went 'Oh no poor Mike!" I then had to correct her and say she was a couple of constables behind ;D She does watch it she just got confused, I mean they've had so many recently. Unless I'm very much mistaken it does look like the copper that Mz got her photo with, I have it saved to my hard disk and inspected it. I'm not sure though, it wasn't the worlds greatest picture but I'm sure that his hair was browner, he had stubble in the picture. Not sure have to ask Mz. David was sweet, I knew when she hadn't got her telegram that she wasn't really 100, it took them forever to make that point though Really liked the episode, still no mention of Dennis but maybe next week if Miller is still fowling stuff up. Where was Vernon?

Sergeant Craddock was more comical with his go by the book methods . This Sarge sounds more no nonsense period. Oh oh Oscar will find a way to put the new Sarge straight. Regardless of being a publican or councillor now it is still Oscar`s patch. I am amazed at the turn over of constables. Are the showing Alf`s and Phil`s feelings about the whole thing. I`m surprised they haven`t started to introduce computers into the statio. All they need is an enormous thing taking up the tea room. I`ll bet that they would be wishing that Dennis Merton was back.

OMG what a horrible man, he is going to be a lot of trouble for a lot of people, especially poor Rob. The look on his face was priceless when he saw the state of that new police car ( which seemed to have a phobia against mud and wet ) I had to laugh at the classic Heartbeat Sgts line though. " My office...............Now " Please come back Dennis.

That was the episode I saw being filmed and that was the man. I'm sure of it. I enjoyed it cos Ii recognised it. Lol. Like the spark between Rosie and Bellamy, though i fear Gina will not be pleased about this development. Also, developments between Helen and Rob. I'm not sure about the new sgt. He doesn't seem to have any personality, but i'm sure that, as always, he will develop over time.
