An enjoyable episode. I though David D i c k inson came over quite well. ( There again, he was actually talking about stuff he knew.) Still as tanned as ever though. ;D ;D
I thought Alfred as a truffle digging dog was funny, nice to see him have a more starring role, although I didn't realise you could get truffles in this country.?
And we saw more of the new policeman.
Looks like the new Sgt turns up next week.

Can't wait to see what the new sarge is like! I still can't figure out whats going on with this new PC though...something must be brewing... At least David d i c kinson was only in a few scenes, which made him slightly more bearable!

I couldn't believe David Dickinson, is he like that normally he sounded way to sincere the whole time, he is a dreadful actor. Why they had him in it I don't know, comedy factor I suppose. Thank god the sarge is turning up, from the trailer he looks to be quite good, I cna't wait. Finally we're getting rid of Nokes, one week is enough but two Poor Vernon getting it wrong again ;D Truffle finding dog The storyline with that little girl was ever so sad, I felt for her the poor thing. Her mother's obviously a bit depressed, maybe she has a milder form of what Jenny had. A good episode I thought, although discussing that kid in the pub at the end, doens't that doctor know what patient confidentiality is?

A good ep. Totally agree about David thingyinson, his acting is worse than his TV presenting. At least he was only in a couple of scenes and Alf got the main role to solve the puzzle. ( ;D I see the naughtyword catcher won't let us use his name! ;D ;D I wondered why you guys had typed it with spaces in it, not as funny as teasthingy in my story though ;D ;D ;D ;D) An interesting ep, wasn't quite sure how it was going to turn out till right at the end. The truffles were brilliant! Great to have a really funny story line. David was brill when they were training Alfred, covering his eyes like kids playing hide and seek, and Vernon was hillarious when he was reading that book on how to train him. The look on his face when they found a truffle, and when they were trying them, priceless! And when he was ill and dashing to Lord Ashfordly's fantastic! And the cream cakes! and Alfred eating the truffles (I thought he was going to eat the one they bought when they gave him it to sniff!) Next week looks as if its going to be good. Can't wait to see the new Sarge in action (still missing Dennis ) But on the bright side John Dutine is a cracking actor and he'll make a good Sarge. Sent to sort them out huh? That will take some doing!

none of the doctors in hb ever do! lol neither do distrct nurses, lawyers... Some of them are quite reliable but it was told in confidentiality as everyone in the Arms has to keep up to date but surprising for a new doctor on the scene though Kate was more closed mouth about her patient doctor confidentiality but Liz was half and half though Jenny ,poor Jenny could be relied on sometimes unless Dennis put a damper on thing. I wish she and Dennis could come back for a visit. TEXT Spring, Spring is in the air ,new life and happiness not despair. You would think that Dennis and Jenny might get a mention, its like they have disappeared off the face of the earth.

It's horrifying, this always happens. They need mentioning, it was such a big storyline and now it's all but forgotten. Where's the tension, where's the suspense, where's the love ;D

yeah a good episode - made me ;D Did anybody else think that Alfred looks like a new dog?? When he was out 'looking for truffles' the dogs hair looked longer and cleaner (maybe it was just me) Looking forward to seeing the new sarg. This episode was the one Simon saw and some of his pics are over on my web site ;D

Did anybody else think that Alfred looks like a new dog?? Looking forward to seeing the new sarg. I thought Alfred looked different too, same white paw though, maybe she'd just had a bath? Or could be a different dog, they've had the same one for a good few years now. Looking forward to seeing the new Sarge, there's a pic in TV times, hasn't he got a lot of medals! Thought they'd have a better article about him though, hardly mentions him, anyone seen any other mags with articles?

Just watched it again on the repeat. I just noticed on the trailor for tonights ep, Sgt Miller isn't wearing North Riding Badges on his uniform. Instead of the rose with a crown on top on the collar, he's got a larger crown and in teh photo that was in TV times a couple of weeks back he's got a different cap badge too, looks like a shield instead of the North Riding Rose. I guess we will find out tonight........ Totally agree about Dennis and Jenny, they should get a mention, Dennis could ring Gina to tell her how Jenny's getting on, or Gina could go to visit Jenny and bring back news. They did it with Mike, Phil asking him to be his best man so hopefully the Merton's won't just vanish from Aidensfield's thoughts. Sgt Miller should mention Dennis tonight, if he's come to sort things out surely he must have an opinion on Dennis's leadership..... We'll just have to wait and see......... In the mean time, I've added a bit more to my fanfic so you can read about what happens after they leave Aidensfield (in my mind anyway) and I've got a quiet afternoon so I'll be writing some more to add to it.
