Get this: Xenopus. Tongueless, clawed frog native to South Africa. Highly edible. Sounds yummy, doesn't it? ;D

Arghhh! You're right Northern Dancer. I just did a quick runthrough of the members' directory - the transition from 'Taxi Driver' to 'Undertaker' occurs somewhere between 125 and 216 posts - most likely at 200. Anyway, here's Xylitol - an artificial sweetener (and I hope I don't draw 'X' again on the next go-round ).

Zebra mussel. (small freshwater mussel, can be found in the Great Lakes.) gak I had a little help for X and Z. Can a person eat a regular zebra I wonder?

Apfelmus
That's Dutch for applesauce. In Hollands cafes they seem to serve apfelmus with everything - like chips in England.

Courvoisier.

Actually it was just "prarie stew" which is made from two grains: wheat and flax, with veggies, not so bad. Prairie Dog stew!!!! That really would be gross, not to mention a bit furry!!!! Anyway, here is D. Dirt Pudding. Yes, there really is a dirt puddding!!! Chocolate with those little jelly bugs and snakes for decoration...kids' recipe... ;D

Actually it was just "prarie stew" which is made from two grains: wheat and flax, with veggies, D Northern Dancer, I apologize. The term "Utilitarian Stew" read somewhat euphemistically to me, and I was guessing what it stood for.

Ick! My grandmother told me once back in the "Dirty Thirties" starving people use to eat gophers. I really didn't know if she was serious or not! Hopefully not.
