Mmm, i find it hard to believe they haven't done it before, but then again, i can't actually think of a time they have. Probably is a first, actually, cos i think i read an interview with the producer guy who said the show was good because each ep is completely separate from the next (thats why all the storylines take so bloody long to pan out), ie. people can miss a few eps and still know whats going on when they come back.

There has been one before....the first and second episodes of series 10 in which a young teenage couple run away together. Cant remember the names of the episodes, but the same storyline spanned two weeks!

it was episodes "Sweet Sixteen" and "She's leaving home", series 11 eps 1 & 2 which starred Vicki Lee-Taylor as Deborah White, Stephen Hoyle as Carl Lomax, Lisa Marie Boucher as Jenny Kirby, The Royal 's Daniel Feltham as Roy Lomax and Rosie Foster as Annie Lomax, Tony Turner as Mr White, Sharon Muircroft as Mrs Lomax and Gillian Cally as Mrs White.

21st's episode was a two-parter so the ep on 28th (this sun) is the 2nd part.
dunno if that makes sense

So Vicki Lee-taylor has been in heartbeat before? They seem to bring back people to be in just one episode quite alot.

Loads of guest actors have been in Heartbeat more than once. Most of them have also been in The Royal, Casualty, Holby City and The Bill. These shows have such a high turnover of 'guests' that they go through pretty much every small part actor there is.

yes, producers and casting directors usually tend to go straight to casting agencies such as spotlight, laine management (manchester), scala kids casting (Leeds), Richard Stone (London), Jackie Palmer (London & LA), and many others. This is because they are the people who have had training and mostly know about the world of stage and television!
That's how I've got roles!
